Icon process

I was assigned to make a family of icons that would be used in several different applications but that required a common style. This could not be solved with an off the shelf icon pack so I composed custom artwork to communicate both common symbols and symbols that were unique to the university community. In all, I created 65 icons. Below are some artifacts from the "mountain pass" icon. It was used as a button for users to tap to get a pass report needed for driving through a nearby highway mountain pass.

The winding road of the sketch proved too complicated during production. Instead, I added another mountain peak and made a single curve in the road. This allowed for a more balanced design and kept me within my time constraints.
