STAGE

New Product Startup

As founding designer at Stagebase, I turned interviews, sketches, and information architecture into a proactive onboarding platform for customer-success teams. The work supported the launch and its funding round.

01

Understand the work

Customer Success and Implementation Managers often work reactively, relying on analytics platforms that report past results. That creates inefficiency, missed opportunities, and inconsistent customer experiences—and puts teams at risk of churn, low adoption, and recovering relationships with discounts.

Research and discovery

I conducted interviews and whiteboard sessions, analyzed existing workflows, and identified key pain points in the customer-success process.

Sketches

To move quickly, I sketched during interviews to capture user actions, then combined those sketches with the information architecture into wireframes.

Structure and prototype

I organized what we learned into an information architecture, then moved straight into wireframes so we could resolve interaction before visual design.

Information architecture

Working with subject-matter experts, I organized user data into groupings that aligned with their processes.

Wireframes and prototypes

I built the screens in Figma, accounting for user actions, tasks, and supportive workflow. I held off on visual design in this phase so we could resolve interaction quickly, and experimented with color and components to validate patterns.

Design and deliver

I stayed in contact with developers through each phase so we could work in parallel.

Outcome

Design assets supported a ground-up launch that reached $1.5M in funding. Stagebase helps Customer Success teams work more efficiently and scale by automating customer communication and standardizing processes—reducing manual work while keeping interactions high quality.
